Skt: The Police have arrested 12 people for illegally bringing gold from Qatar.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested 12 Nepalis who illegally brought gold from Qatar evading customs.
They were made public on Monday.
The police arrested 12 people who disembarked from Tribhuvan International Airport at 10 am on Sunday from the plane of Nepal Airlines Corporation.
Sunil Kumar Mahara, Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Santu Gulam Murau, Naresh Panjiar, Bhum Bahadur Wali, Binod Kumar Sah, Sanju Kumari Sah, Durga Prasad Yadav, Devanand Sah, Shiva Sundar Raut, Mohan Kumar Yadav, Nibhai Sah have been arrested, the police informed.
According to the police, they have traded gold worth around 2.378 billion rupees.
